The Mediterranean Diet is not only a dietary regime, but a complex system of knowledge, traditions, and biodiversity recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In an era marked by lifestyle-related diseases and often unsustainable industrial food production, rediscovering this model becomes a strategic necessity. The current challenge is to project the values of the Mediterranean Diet into the future, making them compatible with the demands of modern life and with the new frontiers of scientific and technological research.
Rural Hack collaborates in the project to promote the Mediterranean Diet as a paradigm of global health and sustainability. The aim is to educate new generations and businesses on the value of this model, using innovation to improve its accessibility and awareness. Through the dissemination of research and the creation of networks between local producers and the scientific community, the project seeks to transform the Mediterranean Diet into a driver of economic development for territories, while ensuring the protection of public health and the safeguarding of ecosystems.
