Irpinia and Sannio form the heart of Campania’s wine-growing industry, accounting for over 65 per cent of the region’s wineries at major international trade fairs. In an increasingly interconnected global market, the quality of the physical product can no longer be separated from its digital presence: the ‘bottle’ and the ‘web’ are now two sides of the same coin, both essential for conveying the authenticity of the region and responding to new trends in consumption and the communication of value.
Rural Hack is collaborating with the Irpinia Sannio Chamber of Commerce to support local excellence in the process of integrating traditional production with digital innovation. The aim is to enhance the technological expertise of wine-producing companies by providing strategic tools to manage digital channels and turn data into a competitive advantage. By taking part in major events and developing new forms of networking, the project aims to strengthen the position of indigenous grape varieties and the reputation of the regional brand on a global scale.
