The global agrifood system faces the monumental challenge of feeding 10 billion people by 2050 amidst a climate crisis and geopolitical shifts. To reduce the environmental footprint of food and regenerate ecosystems, it is essential to rethink the entire supply chain—from production to consumption.
This requires integrating the digital revolution into rural areas and fostering a shared vision among businesses, institutions, and the younger generations, in alignment with the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals. Rural Hack contributes to the project by facilitating the creation of concrete solutions for a more resilient, inclusive, and regenerative agriculture. Through the organization of national events, training programs, and awards for excellence, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between the academic and productive worlds. The goal is to encourage the transfer of know-how and the adoption of Agriculture 4.0 models that place technological innovation at the service of environmental sustainability and local communities
